Information We Collect

The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.

When you contact us through our consultation form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, your child's grade and target test date, what brings you to us, and any additional details you provide. This information is collected through WPForms.

When you book a consultation, you'll be directed to our Google Calendar, where we collect your name, email address, and the time slot you select.

When you purchase a tutoring package, we use WooCommerce and Stripe to process your order. You may be asked to create a customer account, which includes your name, billing address, email address, and phone number. Payment information (credit/debit card details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe — we do not store payment card information on our servers.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is collected and stored by Kit (our email service provider) so we can send you the newsletter you signed up for.

If you contact us directly by email or text, we may receive additional information including the contents of the message and any attachments you may send us.

How We Use Your Information

Log Files

Boston Test Prep LLC follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Data Retention

• Consultation form submissions: retained for up to 24 months in case of follow-up questions or future engagement.
• Customer accounts and purchase records: retained as long as your account is active, and after closure as required for tax and business records (typically up to 7 years).
• Newsletter subscribers: retained until you unsubscribe, after which your email is removed within 30 days.
• Tutoring session notes: retained for the duration of your engagement and up to 12 months afterward.
