Coaching for what happens outside the textbook.
Some students need help with the material. Many need help with everything around it: getting started, staying organized and believing they can do it.
01
Confidence building
For students who’ve decided they’re “not a math person.” We stack small wins until they expect to figure it out.
02
Executive functioning
Planning the week, breaking big assignments into steps and keeping track of deadlines — with tools they’ll actually use.
03
Study skills
Practice testing, spaced review and note systems that work, matched to how your kid learns.
Included
Built into every session
Every Bio, Chem and math session includes the habits that make the material stick.
Also available
Standalone coaching
Sessions just for organization, planning and confidence, for students who need habits more than content.
Why this works: it’s my background.
I spent 8 years with nonprofits and schools using behavior-change principles to build study skills and critical thinking. About a third of my students have ADHD or a learning difference, and I’ve worked with IEP and 504 students for over 13 years.

Found the root of the problem
“Ricardo was the only one to find what my daughter was missing. He helped her get to the root of her math issues and provided her with several different methods to learn what she was lacking.”

Understanding and confidence
“He stayed patient with me when I struggled to understand topics and found new ways to teach me based on my learning style. His ability to adapt to my needs helped me both in my understanding and confidence.”

What parents usually ask.
Do you work with students who have ADHD or learning differences?
Yes — about a third of my students do. I pace sessions, break work into clear steps and build routines with that in mind, and I’m experienced with IEPs and 504 plans. Tell me about your kid’s situation on the consult call so I can come prepared.
Can you help with current homework and upcoming tests?
Yes. Sessions follow the class: this week’s homework, labs and test prep, plus the gaps underneath that make the class feel hard.
In person or online?
Either. In-person sessions happen at your home in Boston and nearby towns, with a travel fee that depends on location. Online sessions use a shared digital whiteboard and work for students anywhere.
Do you also do SAT prep?
Yes — it’s most of what I do. See SAT tutoring.
Let’s talk about your kid’s classes.
A free 20-minute call: tell me the subject, the grades and what’s getting in the way. I’ll tell you how I’d help — and if I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so.
